Garrand Partners, Intl. is a Maine-based corporation with offices in Portland and Rockland, Maine.

Brenda Garrand, its principal, founded and ran one of New England’s largest and longest-lasting full-service agencies between 1987 and 2022. The firm is still in successful operation now as Garrand Moehlenkamp, based in Portland, Maine.

As an agency principal, community leader, and now independent consultant, Brenda has worked with a wide range of regional entities, developing comprehensive business strategies and tactical programs encompassing full-spectrum marketing communications from concept to consumer.

As a volunteer, she has worked in leadership with a wide range of entities, from the University of New England and Maine Public Broadcasting to Maine & Co. and The Maine International Trade Center. She served two terms as Honorary Consul of Canada, focusing on international economic development and cultural exchange.

Her expertise, built over four decades, covers a broad range of capabilities, including philanthropic and capital campaign support, public policy communication strategy, advocacy, issue management, and strategic experiential programs. She is an expert in brand building, consumer marketing, and business development.

Her experience assisting Maine’s seafood industry includes work for the Maine Lobster Promotion Council, Bristol Seafood, Nordic Aquafarms, Cooke Seafood (True North Salmon), Maine Coast Lobster, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Blue Harbor Tuna, American Aquafarms, and Shuck’s.

Her work has been seen at important trade events like the Boston Seafood Show, on supermarket shelves around the country, and at trade events, public policy, and economic development venues.

She has been a featured speaker at national events and has developed innovative consusmer goods brand-building programs.

Brenda graduated from Bates College (AB) and Syracuse University (MA) and attended Maine Law. She has received numerous industry and community awards.

Her firm was named “Best Place to Work in Maine” and was honored to be among the ten best firms in Marketing and Media cited by Ad Age.

She is featured in the “A Century of Women’s Entrepreneurialism” a joint venture with Microsoft and The U.S. National Women’s History Museum.
